The Great Lafayette's faithful canine companion lies at rest here, next to his monument. When his dog died four days before the opening of his new show, Lafayette asked the local council for her to be buried in their cemetery. They accepted, only if he himself agreed to be buried there upon his death. Lafayette (Neuberger) died four days later on the opening night when the theater burned down!
